Planting Instructions

Step 1: Dig an ample sized hole for your seedling using guidelines below.

Step 2: Before placing seedling into the hole, gently spread out the roots.

Step 3: Place the seeling into the center of the hole, at the correct planting depth.

Step 4: Fill in dirt around the seedling, eliminate air pockets by gently tamping the soil around the seedling.

Step 5: Each seedling should be watered once it has been buried.

Seedlings will have the highest survival rate when planted shortly after pick ups. If planting can't be done immediately, tops should be allowed to dry to prevent mold. Roots should be kept moist, but not submerged.

Soil Mist (Root Gel) instructions:

Directions: Mix root gel slowly into water to form a gel thick enough to cling to the roots (about 3 tablespoons to 5 gallons of water). Dip the root system into the gel, then plant.

Caution: Use a gel of thin consistency. A thick gel may cause the roots to remain too wet which could be harmful. Do not use for Fall planting.

Fertilizer Tablets instructions:

Directions: Do not place tablets in the bottom of the hole. Dig a hole for your plant and position your plant in the hole at the proper height. Backfill the hole about half way and place tablet(s) around the roots about an inch from the root tips. Fill the hole the rest of the way and water your new plant.

Application Rates: For every 12-18 inches of plant heights or half inch of tree diameter use two tablets for slow growing or 4 tablets for fast growing plants.
