Hello! I’m Julie Schnolis, your Register of Deeds.

The Register of Deeds Office is the repository for the following records:

Real Estate Documents including Warranty Deeds, Quit Claim Deeds, Other Deeds, Mortgages and Miscellaneous Documents, Financing Statements pertaining to Real Estate, Federal Tax Liens, Vital Records including Birth, Death and Marriage Records. For more information regarding the office, visit www.wrdaonline.org

The information on this website is presented as a service to the citizens of Adams County and other Internet users. While some of the information contained within is about legal issues or forms, it is not legal advice. We make no warranty or guarantee concerning the accuracy or reliability of the content at this site or to the other sites to which we link.

Adams County Register of Deeds utilizes the following search portal for searching and viewing documents online.

Laredo https://www.fidlar.com/Laredo.aspx

Laredo was designed for users who spend a significant amount of time searching data. Laredo is a downloadable program that allows 24 hour instant access to the most current information available and can be used in the courthouse as well as the convenience of a home or office setting.

Tapestry https://tapestry.fidlar.com/Tapestry2/Search.aspx

For users who only search occasionally, Tapestry is the ideal tool for searching, viewing and printing Adams County land records.

Documents presented for recording will be stamped the day and time as accepted.  Documents presented for recording that are brought in by 4:00 PM will be reviewed for recording the same business day. If you are required to have the document stamped for the day presented, you must present the documents for recording by 4:00 PM. Otherwise, the documents will be held until the next business day.

Document batches (more than one document in a batch with one payment method (check)) may be rejected if the entire batch is not accepted for recording.

Submit paper real estate documents via mail at 401 Adams Street Suite 12 Friendship WI 53934. If you have any questions on submitting real estate documents call 608-339-4206 or email us at Register of Deeds. You can also find information on submitting paper documents at www.wrdaonline.org

IMPORTANT NOTICE: Regarding third-party vendors selling vital records

We have received an increased number of calls about third-party vendors selling birth, death, marriage, and divorce certificates. These companies charge customers high fees to "process" or "help apply" for certificates issued from the Wisconsin Vital Records Office.

To avoid high fees when ordering online, we highly encourage customers to double check the URL of the site you are on to ensure that you are ordering either thru the state's vendor Vital Chek or the local Register of Deeds Office.

Property Fraud Alert

Julie Schnolis is pleased to announce that the office is releasing a free on-line service that will allow Adams County citizens the ability to have their name monitored within the Register of Deeds office in order to track possible fraudulent activity. Citizens will be notified only when the name they have submitted to Property Fraud Alert is found on a document recorded in the Adams County Register of Deeds office.

Protecting consumers information and real estate property are our top priorities. While Property Fraud Alert will not prevent fraud from happening it will provide an early warning system that will allow our citizens to take appropriate actions should they deem possible fraudulent activity has occurred with their property.

We are committed to bringing the best service possible to our citizens and are excited about the value this offering could bring. To sign up check out the website at:

 https://www.propertyfraudalert.com

Once at the website, go to the drop down box and select Adams, WI. Follow the prompts: Sign Up Now, Agree to the Terms and Personal Information.

When submitting your name, using fewer letters in your first name will allow you to receive a more complete notification if something is recorded. For example:

The shorter version will cover the different variations of Kristi such as Kris, Kristine, and Kristin.

Your security does matter!
