Gunderson Moundview Hospital and Clinics has been meeting the healthcare needs of the Adams-Friendship area since 1959. Their goal is to provide easily accessible, high quality healthcare that meets the needs of the communities that they serve.
Emergency and Urgent Care Services
Gunderson Moundview Hospital’s Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day by in-house physicians and nurses. Telemedicine is available for multiple emergent medical conditions. Urgent Care services are offered seven days a week. Instymeds, a 24-hour medication dispensing machine, is available for patient prescriptions.
Family Medical Clinics
Gunderson Moundview’s Family Clinics are located in Friendship and Westfield. The providers offer medical care for the entire family including routine exams, immunizations, treatment of illness and injury, diagnosing and managing diseases, preventative care, and wellness education. On-site laboratory and radiology services are available at both clinics.
A variety of on-site and visiting specialists are available to see patients at Moundview. Services include allergy, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, orthopedics, podiatry, surgery, and urology.
Gunderson Moundview offers a wide range of diagnostic, rehabilitation, and surgical services. The hospital’s 25-bed inpatient unit provides care for patients’ medical and surgical needs. Swing bed, a Medicare covered hospital-based program, is available for patients who no longer need inpatient acute care, but still need daily skilled care and are not yet ready to return home.

Adams Friendship School District
The Adams-Friendship Area School District educates approximately 1600 students living across 500 square miles within Adams County. The district includes three elementary schools (grades PK-5), one middle school (grades 6-8), and one high school (grades 9-12). The district prides itself on a comprehensive and diverse curriculum and strong co-curricular programs in athletics, academics, and the fine arts. The district is proud of a newly constructed, state-of the-art Fine Arts Center along with well-maintained, safe, and energy-efficient buildings. Students and families are served by a caring and dedicated staff that focuses on the needs of the whole child as we live our mission of "preparing students to perform for life".
Mid-State Technical College
Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) is a publicly supported regional two-year college within the Wisconsin Technical College System (WTCS) that strives for excellence while maintaining an agile organization that can quickly respond to the ever-changing needs of our residents and local business and industry. With campuses in Marshfield, Stevens Point, and Wisconsin Rapids, and a learning center in Adams, the college serves a resident population of approximately 165,000. Mid-State’s Center, in the City of Adams, employs about 20 part time instructors and offers associate degrees, technical diplomas, certificates, and non-credit classes.
University of Wisconsin System
The UW System has several campuses that are near Adams County including Madison, La Crosse, Oshkosh, Stevens Point, and Baraboo/Sauk County.
